my 1st tryout of the new tachyon 2010 XC camera, i have, the editors kit comprising of 2 cameras,3D kit and extra mounts, here im using 1 camera with the goggle mount secured to helmet with 3M snap tape, the other camera has 3M snap velcro on it for various angles on the bike, the helmet camera angle was set slightly too low but im very impressed with the quality in the low light (1 hour before sunset),no probs with breakup, switching off with vibration (motorcycle a 600cc single cylinder ),control buttons easier to operate than original tachyon xc camera, the 90 degree angle lense is the best compromise between view in front of the camera (here the riders arms and bike) and far away view, overall first impressions very good

Oct 4, 2009 - Coastkid - awesome stuff. That must be the camera you won? Love the music too. I couldn't read the speedo but I saw the needle was on at 3 o'clock so guess it was fairly fast ;-)I hear what you say about the 90 degree lens. My GoPro wide angle (170 degree) makes stuff in the centre of view look so far away - frustrating. All the Best mate.Stumpy

Oct 4, 2009 - i never broke the speed limit once (officer) lol, the camera seems to work better on the motorbike than a MTB cause your arms are up in front in view, maybe need to rig a chest mount and try that out on the mtb`s

Oct 5, 2009 - A chest mount would work really well on a mtb. It's going to be my next purchase hopefully...

Mar 27, 2010 - Nice camera actually, seems to do the trick. Just a word of advice on riding though, get off that left hand verge on left hand bends, get yourself out onto the white line. Imagine that tractor and trailer round one of those bends, you'd have seen nothing of it until you were over/through it! Stay safe mate :)

Apr 22, 2010 - Very nice job mate! Awesome roads and the camera setup is superb. Unfortunately I can only use the top helmet mount and I look a bit ridicilous with it. I really wanna put it on the side but my helmet is a full face race helmet and the mount doesn't fit :S
